Moab Revisited...Again

This was the third time I've been to Moab.  The lady on the GPS calls it "Mobe."  It's funny, she only says it once - the whole trip.  Mobe.  Cracks me up every time.  Unfortuately, I have to drive 5 hours to hear it.  Everytime I've been to Mobe, there has been some sort of weather issue.  Last year, it was 101 degrees at 9 a.m.  This year, it was the wind.  75 mph gusts and 50 mph sustained wind for most of Wednesday.  It was so windy, I had sand on my thighs - and I was wearing jeans!  The wind actually pushed the sand through the Wranglers.  I had to floss sand out of my teeth.

Anyway, it was a good time for the most part.  I'll put pictures on another post.  There are plenty of stories the I will post later...a very interesting story about a recent online purchase that Chad made that cost $70...

  1. Wow.... back already? Did the wind cause you to leave early, or was this the planned return date?
When I travel home to partake in this trip can we make it a little more extensive?

And I'm not sure why, although it's probably due to Smodcast, my first thought was that Chad has bought a Fleshlight. HA!

  2. It was the planned return date. We were thinking about staying another night, but Kilzer screamed , "I wanna go home, NOW!" during the snow Thursday morning. We were all in agreement, though. I am not sure what a Smodcast is - will you ask it next week's lottery numbers, please?

  3. Well, when I'm there for the trip, I'd really like to stay a bit longer...so start planning now.

And (again knowledge granted by the power of the internet)if he listened ever to Adam Carolla's podcast, he could have gotten it for half price.

    Just saying.

    And next weeks #'s are 4,8, 15, 16, 23, and 42

  4. Should be pretty easy to plan. Depends on how long you want to stay. There's a good 5 days worth of stuff to do. As for the numbers, I'll use them but I hope smodcast realizes that they are all retired New York Yankee numbers - 4, Gehrig; 8, Berra; 15, Munson; 16, Ford; 23, Mattingly and 42, Jackie Robinson. I would probably have to share the lottery jackpot with about 50 or so crazed Yankee fans.
